Tips for You to Alleviate Symptoms

We offer these tips from members of Fuchs' Friends and others.  If you know of another tip, please  contact the webmaster so we can add it to the site.  Again, please read our legal notices.

  • Peaked cap or wide-brimmed hat outdoors.
  • Tinted and non-reflective coated lenses.
  • Wraparound sunglasses.
  • Don't use any steroids such as hydrocortisone unless you have consulted with your corneal specialist about them.  They reduce your ability to move fluid out of the eye.
  • Commercial Eye drops (Murine, Visine, etc.) should not be used except at the direction of your doctor.
  • Muro 128 eyedrops and/or ointment is a saline mixture that seems to aid in reducing the blurriness in the morning.
